Kaitlan Collins joined bevy of journalists for the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday night in Washington D.C. Andrea Mitchell, Abby Phillip and more political journalists attended the dinner and red carpet event, which began more than 100 years ago in 1921.

For the occasion, Collins opted to go classic with her attire. The CNN White House correspondent styled a silk and satin little black dress. The look featured a fitted silhouette with a cinched waist for added definition.

The dress was also strapless, adding a contemporary spin on the classic wardrobe staple with roots in American fashion as early as the 1920s. Collins paired her dress with a set of translucent sandal heels to complete her look.

As for accessories, Collins went minimal, favoring a shimmering, delicate bracelet with a set of coordinated earrings. When it came to her glam, Collins opted for a ponytail with a slight bouffant. Her makeup included standout elements like bold brows, lined eyes and a glossy lip.
