What to Look Forward to!

Now in 2020, we see him launch Wayne Goss Cosmetics starting out with a core collection of luxurious lip products of lipsticks, lip glosses, and lip liners.

Much excitement has surrounded this announcement since he first mentioned it in May of this year. Of course, we are here to take a peek at The Luxury Lip Collection.

Wayne Goss Cosmetics: Lipstick

Let’s start with the lipsticks. The collection has 10 sheer finish lip bullets all at 4 grams each. Priced at $28, let’s check out what the hype is all about.

The lipstick collection presents a variety of beautifully curated universal colors that can be worn by different women and on different looks. It is buildable and has no problem being worn over in layers. It has a creamy, satin finish that creates a healthy and plump look to the lips. Something I personally like.

It comes packaged with a silver outer packaging and the lipsticks are a black, glossy, square tube. It is simple and has a little vintage nod to it, reminiscent of old Avon tubes. The lipsticks have no any sort of gimmick, it is all just pigment with no shimmer or pearlescence to it.

Let’s take a look at the different shades of lipstick in this collection:

  • Amaryllis: Medium neutral pink
  • Camellia: Light beige with warm peach tones
  • Carnation: Deep balanced mauve
  • Dahlia: Warm pink peach
  • Daisy: Classic beige with a touch of pink
  • Lily: Muted rose pink
  • Lotus: Deep nude pink with a brown base
  • Magnolia: Soft petal pink
  • Orchid: Burnt terracotta with warm undertones
  • Zinnia: Rich berry with fuchsia and red tones

YouTuber Michelle Wang described the products as “super hydrating” and even if she did all the lip swatches in one sitting her lips felt fine.

Other than the lipsticks, the line also includes a set of hydrating, high shine gloss collection that comes in different colors. These little tubes easily pair up with the lipsticks or the lip liners.

Each gloss tube contains 5.30 grams of products and is priced at $22. It has varying degrees of shine, from wet to shimmery finishes, and contains mint for that fresh feel.

  • Antique Rose: Nude rose with gold and silver shimmer
  • Cherry Blossom: Medium neutral pink
  • Chrysanthemum: Golden bronze with gold shimmer
  • Hibiscus: Cool rose gold with shimmer
  • Hyacinth: Soft pink peach
  • Petunia: Deep nude mauve
  • Tulip: Nude beige with shimmer

The level of pigmentation on these gloss is sheer to medium and it will compliment different lip shades. The formula is not tacky so you don’t feel it sticking on itself when worn.

The collection also features a set of lip liners that pair well with the lipsticks or lip gloss. Wayne Goss mentioned that the formula of these lip liners is kohl based. That means it’s not as soft compared to a lot of formulas these days.

Many times I try a lip liner and it’s either they break off from sharpening which results in wastage. Other times the products melt so easily that it’s not long-wearing at all.

There are seven shades of lip liners from this collection. Each pencil contains 1.14 grams of product and sits at $14 each. The lip liners are matte finish, they are pigmented and lasts for a while on the lips.

Here are the different shades of Wayne Goss Cosmetics Lip Liners:

  • Sepia: Deep brown mauve
  • Natural Berry: Berry pink with a hint of brown
  • Cinnamon: Rich brick red
  • Vintage Pink: Beige nude pink
  • Mauve: Deep brown pink

The Wayne Goss collection is a little bit on the pricier side but if you are for super hydrating and functional cosmetics, I would recommend you give this collection a go.

I am personally wanting to get my hands on all of these. Originally I was debating getting just one from each set but what about the other shades?! I’m sure as a fellow makeup geek, you get what I mean.

The colors are beautiful, soft, and feminine and on the get-go, they seem good for everyday wear.
